AT&T Online Support could use some QA 2

Posted by Robby Russell Wed, 06 Jun 2007 06:15:00 GMT

So, I was trying to send AT&T wireless a support email through their online system and got stuck at the following screen.

Umm... how?

Come on guys… you can design a better form than this… and I’m now going to have to try and sneak in a question under a sub-topic that doesn’t apply to my question… just so I can send you an email?

Getting help shouldn’t be so hard1.

1 At least I can Print this page and show all my friends…

Who cares about support now, they have the iPhone.

While we are on the subject of mobile phone carriers, Verizon has a web interface that allows you to do the normal stuff like change plans, order a new phone, etc. etc. Well, for some reason every time I try to change my plan to include unlimited text messages, it says I have to call them. Why the hell even offer it as a option online if I have to call—bastards.

In the meantime, they continue to spam me via text to get me to sign up with their unlimited text plan, which I’ve tried to sign up for! I try to unsubscribe to there spam, I still get them.

Way to harass your customers Verizon. Oh but it’s okay since you have me under contract.

I’d laugh, but I am having a similar problem with Google Apps Enterprise.

My company is using Google Apps for email and calendar. Today I noticed that all our events were shifted by and hour on SOME people’s calendars. So we’re in a bit of chaos now trying to organize meeting times.

Google Apps now charges for Enterprise service (as of last week) so I tried to use the support. I logged in and my ID and Support PIN, taken directly from my admin panel, were not accepted. The message kept saying “please enter PIN”, even though I did.

It’s a different bug than AT&Ts, but the problem is just as grave.

There’s no excuse for a brick wall experience in the support channel – especially for a paid service . . . especially for someone like Google.

    Right?

Share your thoughts... (really...I want to hear them)
